About Katrina
I’m Katrina Marshall, a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and owner of Mindful Massage Therapy.
I graduated from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in December 2010 and became licensed in New York State in early 2011. Since then, I’ve continued to expand my education and approach to bodywork through continuing education in lymphatic drainage, PTSD-informed care, body-mind coaching, hot stone massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, and gua sha.
My Approach
For me, massage is about more than getting a tight muscle to relax.
Of course, I love feeling the moment when a muscle finally yields—but what I find even more rewarding is watching a client become more aware of their own body and how it responds to everyday life.
Two of my favorite things to hear from clients are:
“How did you find that spot?”
and
“I finally realized why that area has been bothering me.”
That second moment is especially important to me. When a client begins recognizing the movements, habits, tasks, or activities that cause their discomfort to flare, they’re becoming more connected to what their body is communicating.
That awareness can extend far beyond the massage table.
Massage Designed Around You
No two bodies—and no two days—are exactly alike. That’s why I don’t believe every massage should follow the same routine.
I take the time to listen to what you’re experiencing, consider what your body is telling us, and customize your session using the techniques that are appropriate for your individual needs and goals.
Whether you’re seeking relief from muscular tension, support during recovery, greater body awareness, or simply an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself, my goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and cared for.
I look forward to welcoming you to Mindful Massage Therapy.
